Frederick Douglass quoting a speech given by Daniel O'Connell in Dublin in 1845, on the need to fight oppression wherever and in whatever form it exists.

The 27 year old American Douglass, having self-emancipated from slavery and fled America, spent four months in Dublin giving lectures on the subject of abolition. There he met the 70 year old O'Connell at a Repeal meeting in Conciliation Hall in Dublin, where they would discuss the need to challenge prejudice and unjust laws and to defend the rights of all people, regardless of colour, gender, ethnicity, or religion.

Composed by hand from a selection of wood and metal grotesque type. Printed onto Somerset Satin 300gsm.
